WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR 1st & 2nd CHIROPRACTIC APPOINTMENTS
Wāv is a connection-based results-driven office. We use the art of human connection, understanding, and listening to further assess your current state and we expect results.
The following consult and exam procedures are performed in order to aid our Doctors in determining the specifics of your condition and creating a custom treatment plan based on your needs.
1st appointment
Step 1: Consult
This is your opportunity to discuss with either Dr. Felicia or Dr. Taylor exactly what brought you in, the outcomes you desire, and whether or not chiropractic care is the best fit for your goals. They will cover your health history and intake forms with you at this time.
Step 2: Neuro-Spinal Analysis
Just like a snowflake, every single spine and nerve system is 100% unique. The neuro-spinal exam is performed so that our Doctors understand specifically how you and your spine move and/or don’t move. The Doctor will perform an exam specific to your needs.
Step 3: Insight Scanning
Insight scans are our way of taking a deep dive into your nervous system. The 3 part scans read what is coming out of your body (heart rate, muscle impulses, and heat) and do not send any radiation into your body, making it completely safe for pregnant moms and infants!
Your three scans will be preformed by one of our trained Chiropractic Assistants. You will review your results and have your questions answered by either Dr. Felicia or Dr. Taylor at your second visit.
Step 4: X Ray (if warranted)
After completion of the consultation, functional exam, and neuro-spinal analysis, Dr. Felicia or Dr. Taylor will determine if further examinations or pictures of your spine are necessary to provide you with the most appropriate diagnosis and treatment plan.
Step 5: Schedule Your Second Visit
Our staff will then assist you in scheduling when it is best for you to return for your second visit. It is vital for our Doctors to compile, interpret, and review your case. Every patient we see is unique and we take pride in creating an environment where each person feels heard, appreciated, and honored.
We do not adjust during your first visit for the reasons listed above. We are a treatment plan based practice and want you to fully understand why chiropractic care may or may not be the best form of treatment for you.
Your second appointment can be scheduled as soon as the next day, but we aim to have you return within the week. We do everything we can on our end to ensure you are seen as quickly as possible.
2nd appointment
Doctors Report of Findings and Adjustment
You will meet with either Dr. Felicia or Dr. Taylor to discuss all the findings during your day one assessment. This includes, recapping your health history and symptoms, reviewing your detailed CORE score (insight scans), explaining your exam findings, and presenting your specific treatment plan. You will also go over any additional testing (X-rays, etc.) that you may have gotten after your initial exam.
You will receive your first specific chiropractic adjustment at this visit if you choose to start your care plan.
Our staff will walk you through the next steps and provide you with all of the information you need to seamlessly integrate into your care with us at wāv. At this visit we will cover your care plan specifics and financial options.
